Danny Goes to School: A Lesson in Kindness

Lots of kids go to school, but Danny is a duck and stays with the grown-up ducks in the pond. He watches daily as the school bus picks kids up and takes them to school. One day Danny's mom announces that he can go to school with all of the children. They go to the store to shop for school supplies. Danny is very excited.School is not everything he thought it would be. Some kids are nice, and some are not. He finds himself in trouble more than once, and he is even sent to the principal's office.He and the class go on a field trip and find it is more difficult than he thought.In the end, Danny is grateful for the opportunity to go to school, even though it can be a challenge. He finds that the best lessons often come during times of struggle.
