Daily Guidance

These readings from the Bible have been compiled with the aim of providing a source of daily encouragement and guidance for Christians. The extracts have been specially chosen to give inspiration - and at times challenge - to believers. The readings are accompanied by extracts from hymns, which can be used to make a personal response to God and his word. The Bible portions and hymns in this book could perhaps best be complemented by following a plan of reading through the whole Bible. In this way a personal devotional time with God becomes a daily opportunity to 'seek [the LORD's] face' (Psalm 27:8) as God speaks to us about our lives 'face to face, as a man speaks with his friend' (Exodus 33:11).
