Crystal Age

W. H. Hudson's 1887 utopian novel, "e;A Crystal Age"e; has been hailed as a significant milestone in the Science Fiction genre credited with the prediction of the "e;modern ecological mysticism"e; a century before it manifested. William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922) was an Anglo-Argentine naturalist, author, and ornithologist. He was one of the founding members of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, and is best known for his novel "e;Green Mansions"e; (1904). Other notable works include "e;A Little Boy Lost"e; (1905) and "e;Far Away and Long Ago"e; (1918), which has since been adapted into a film.
