When our world was forming, there were many things existing that were and then were no more. They flourished, lived and died, and the human race wasn't even yet an electrical charge in the primordial ooze. But some of those things prevailed. Throughout the times, disasters, evolution and through the rise of men. And some of those things suffer a fate far worse than extinction, and they sunk under the waves of forgetfulness.
