Creation of the Gods

This book is a perfect model of combination of historical and god subjects in China's classical novels. The author Xu Zhonglin makes use of his rich imagination and broad range of religious knowledge to create a great masterpiece of gods out of popular god stories. Various gods and devils are countless in the novel and many figures such as Jiang Ziya, the third prince Nezha, God Erlang Yang Jian, Lei Zhenzi and Tuxing Sun are household names.
