Since families make up the church, the church must have proactive suitable material to build families and help families see the Bible fits the need in the context of family crisis. ? Todays Christians are asking for material that is interesting and relevant to the problems of the times in Bible studies. ? The crisis of low self esteem and dropping out of school is alarmingly increasing in Black American youth. For best results study with both teens and adults. ? Todays youth need a positive, proactive Christian Icon they can identify with in the context of their living crisis. ? Attention needs to be focused on this crisis of low self esteem. ?
