Contributions to the development of Sergipe

Economic development has been a topic of great interest to economics researchers, both nationally and locally. At the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), regional development is not only a relevant topic in the undergraduate program, but also a central line of research in the graduate program in Economics. The studies have provided evidence and analysis capable of supporting public policies. The book is therefore divided into four sections. The first section deals with strategic guidelines for the state's development. The second section presents sectoral diagnoses with an emphasis on the industrial sector. The last two sections analyze sectoral issues that influence long-term perspectives and development strategies for the state of Sergipe, and diagnoses and perspectives for public policies are covered in the fourth section.
