Comparative pharmacobotanical study of Baccharis L. species

The genus Baccharis is one of the largest in the Asteraceae family. The species of this genus are popularly used as analgesics, anti-inflammatories, anti-infectives, and diuretics. Considering the fact that they have very similar external morphology, there is a need for comparative pharmacobotanical studies aimed at assisting and differentiating species and contributing to the quality control of plant raw materials.
