Commedia dell'Arte in the backlands of Bahia

This book emerged from an action research project carried out with young people from the Po o Longe Agrarian Reform Settlement. The research investigated aspects of experimentation with elements of Commedia dell'Arte with the young people from the settlement, and the following elements were chosen to guide the investigation: the body construction of the genre's types, the making of masks and the drafting of a script. The experiment aimed to explain the appropriation and transformations made by the participants based on their cultural identifications with the masks they worked on.
