Combating poverty and terrorism in German-Cameroonian development

How can development cooperation help to combat poverty while at the same time curbing the breeding ground for terrorism in northern Cameroon? The book addresses this question by analyzing Cameroonian development cooperation, with a particular focus on one development cooperation project. The focus is on a specific project in a region of Cameroon characterized by insecurity, where measures to reduce poverty and stabilize the situation have been combined. The study shows how targeted development cooperation (through education, vocational training, economic promotion, and social participation, etc.) can contribute to the long-term prevention of extremist tendencies.
