City to the Lickeys

As Birmingham grew in the late Victorian and Edwardian period, the city slowly consumed farmland and small villages on its outskirts. With this growth came a need to transport workers to their jobs or for leisure. Firstly trams, and then buses would transport the worker or day tripper around the city.
