Circumcision

Although female circumcision is prohibited by law in some Arab and Islamic countries, girls in many countries, including Egypt and Sudan, are still subjected to this harmful practice, which is detrimental to their physical, mental, and emotional health. Strangely, the circumcision procedure is usually surrounded by joy and jubilation within the family. Everyone is affectionate toward the girl targeted for circumcision, dressing her in bright new clothes and offering her the most delicious sweets, food, and gifts. In her joy, she is surprised when her loved ones paralyze her and a woman with squinty features cuts off a portion of her flesh!
