Every revolution begins with a spark... In the war-torn remains of America, lies Cinder City, where every child of eighteen is forced to endure the Harvest of Embers—a cruel reminder that in the eyes of the Authority, freedom and power are privileges reserved for only the purest bloodlines behind the golden gates. For Ezra, a hidden Ember within the outlying Rings of Cinder City, it is her turn for testing, and the fates have chosen to hide her fae blood no longer. As the flames of the Harvest of Embers blaze brightly, the weight of being named an Ember hangs like a noose, leaving no room for hope or escape. To save those she loves most, Ezra will see the golden city fall to ash.
