Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a common and complex disorder that requires frequent updates of one's knowledge base. The annual updates to the guidelines for the management of COPD, issued by the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) since its inception at the turn of the century, are a testament to the need for ongoing, informed updates in confronting the disease. Likewise, this editor and publisher have produced a succession of books on COPD since the first volume in 2012. In its latest iteration, preserving its open-access and peer-reviewed format, the present book combines the knowledge and experience of professionals from diverse backgrounds worldwide, presenting scientific information in an academic format that aims to contribute to the extensive and progressive research and practice in COPD.
