Povertynew immigrantfamily.They are the disadvantaged in Hong Kong.They live at the bottom of the society.But they embrace hope and believe in tomorrow.They are equipped with the characters of striving, firm and gentle, they inherit the precious immigrant spirit of Hong Kong, of which we were once proud. Eleven young people from the Hong Kong Baptist University were pure and frank. They were students, journalists, researchers, social workers and social sportsmen. They carried out a year's field survey for the first time to excavate complete research materials and to vividly reproduce the real life of the eight new immigrant families; ten papers made with blood and tears were composed to, with the use of the "e;sociological imagination"e;, analyze the causes of poverty, attempt to propose ways to improve so as to eliminate poverty. Academy is not necessarily only a calm description, but also a warm care to promote changes.
