April 26, 1986 - the date of the worst nuclear incident in history. These poems explore the feelings and sensory impacts of the Chernobyl disaster, from man to beast. Forged in fire, the Soviet people worked to ameliorate the impact their wayward technology wrought. We took from this a lesson, we are not always in control.
