ChemConnections

This module challenges you to answer the question "What is in a star?" Over the period of 2-3 weeks, you will view images of stars and investigate the properties of stars and starlight. You will explore connections between the temperature and color of a star, and the radiation it emits. You will closely examine the link between starlight and what this tells you about a star's structure and composition. We emphasize an understanding of atomic structure and processes such as absorption and emission of radiation by atoms by asking you to use this chemistry to answer questions about the nature of stars.
