Cheap Beer and Pancakes: A Book of Poetry

Where do you go when it is time to escape from the gardens that were and find yourself? This book explores a broader variety of themes than author Aaron Michael Lynn's first book of poetry, The Gardens That Were. All of these poems were written in late 2017 or 2018, and are an attempt to escape from the idea of beautiful things having come to pass, to find peace in them, move on from them, and to find new places to go. The title of this book comes from the concept of finding peace and enjoyment in things as simple as cheap beer and pancakes. Throughout the book is explored the concept of an interlude, meaning a definitive period of time that will come to pass eventually, and how this book is an interlude between The Gardens That Were and whatever might come next, and it approaches things in a positive light.
