Chase the Night

Chase the Night takes us inside a world most of us will never know, and have no desire to visit. As a child, Shirley Simmons is the witness to her mother getting beaten by a drunken father on a continual basis, sees family members abusing drugs and alcohol and is molested by a neighbor.Pregnant at 16, Shirley had to quit school and an ensuing pregnancy and marriage took her into a dark hole in which survival is hardly guaranteed. She sold herself to the devil via addiction, and sold her body for cash to pay for that addiction. And yet, although Chase the Night is a story of abuse and addiction, it is also about courage, rehabilitation and redemption. Shirley proved that even from the depths of misery, salvation can be attained through the awful grace of God.
