Sixty decades of US history have witnessed tremendous and tumultuous societal changes, including educating our children. In response to President John F. Kennedy’s call to “ask not, what their country could do for them, but what they could do for their country…” Baby Boomers answered. Catalysts for Change: Baby Boomers Reflect on their Legacy to Public Education shows reflections of veteran educators who have devoted their lives to service through education. They write about the changes, evolution, successes and challenges, and lessons for current educators who must take this mission forward to tackle current educational challenges.
