Capitalism with Morality

Professor Haslett compares economic systems using both economic criteria and philosophically sophisticated standards to investigate ethical arguments for different types of economic system. Areas covered include: ethical presuppositions; libertarian capitalism; utopian communism; central planning socialism; worker democracies; and equal opportunity capitalism. He considers the advantages and disadvantages of the systems covered and concludes by outlining and defending an alternative system which attempts to avoid the moral deficiencies of capitalism.
