Candlesticks

Beneath a warm sheath of snow, a poet once contemplated peace and rebirth, and what happened when both kissed one's heart in a shared moment. Within her chest grew a small flame, like candlesticks upon a mantle. The ice stuck to the windows began to melt, and the dusk that settled over the earth turned golden. All at once, her life was changed, and this is the recount of one such winter.
