Brothers of Kwanza: An African-American Male Self-Empowerment Group Process

By: Jerrell J. Braxton, MSSW, CICSW

This book is a step-by-step process of establishing a self-empowerment program for youth that can be used in schools and other youth organizations. This program specifically focuses on the plight of the African American Male, using Clinical, Educational and Cultural strategies. This program model operated successfully for twenty-three consecutive years in the Milwaukee Public School System. It is important to note that this model can be adapted to different youth demographics.
