Broadband Ultrasound

Acoustic methods are indispensable in industrial monitoring. For maintenance, frequencies up to about 100 kHz are of great importance. Fundamentals and examples are presented for this purpose. The extension of methodology and technology to broadband ultrasound techniques provides new application possibilities. The reassessment of evaluation procedures makes it easier for users to interpret test results. Methods of material testing with ultrasound are not covered.
