Blood Will Have Blood is the second in a series of contemporary crime novels which feature DI Gilbert Markham and his teacher girlfriend Olivia Mullen. When a brutal murder takes place at Hope Academy, the local secondary school where Olivia teaches English, it seems impossible that there could be any connection with the staff and students. But DI Gilbert Markham, assisted by his loyal ally DS George Noakes, refuses to accept that the killing is a random crime committed by an intruder. Despite fierce opposition from within the local community and his own force, Markham probes deeper and uncovers deadly secrets.
