When seventeen-year-old Scott accidentally blows up a flask in chemistry class, leaving his twin sister Stacy without her sight, his life changes beyond recognition and the confident sister he relies upon is gone. Together, they had planned to follow in their brother’s footsteps – graduate high school, earn college scholarships, and escape their father’s cruelty and their mother’s silent acceptance.

Torn between survivor’s guilt and his own self-preservation, Scott considers putting his college escape plan on hold now that Stacy can’t join him, but the escalating violence in their home makes that impossible.
