The history of Black Women in Canada is long and complex and largely unknown. This book attempts to uncover some of this history. It also includes: an introduction, five life stories, primary documents, 13 brief biographies, selections from the "Narratives of Fugitive Slaves" first published in 1856, and a "Who Am I" quiz.
