Bethune Buttons: Celebrating Dr. Norman Bethune in Poetry

Bethune Buttons celebrates Dr. Henry Norman Bethune in poetry. Canadian author Martin Avery moved to China and took a bag of buttons with him, featuring a photo of Bethune and the Bethune House in Canada. Each button he gave out, while in China, inspired a poem; collectively, the poems paint a picture of a year in China.
