Beckwood Brae

Norri is a young forester who dwells by the edge of the great forest that borders their land. He lives alone since he lost his father, and makes a poor living climbing the giant orkya trees to gather their nuts which he roasts and sells in the local tavern at the end of the week.
There is a rumour and growing fear that their old enemies have found a way into their land. Norri and his friends are sent into the forest, to look for signs of them and the huge wolf-like grimulves that are reputed to accompany them.
They find more than they feared, and the friends become separated. Norri begins the great journey of his life, propelled by need into many dangers. His friends Tom, Gordy and Brian are embroiled in the increasingly desperate war for which the Corrii have been long preparing.In the terrible struggle that ensues, much is lost but some things that are unexpected, are found.
