Because the Spirit Was There

In Belma Vardy's new book- Because the Spirit was There Windows into First Nations Communities, she shows herself to be fully qualified and highly skilled to capture accurately and sensitively the personal and true stories of so many and the historical tragedies that befell First Nations peoples from the residential schools catastrophe to misguided plans of governments that became the roots of great trauma inflicted upon the precious Indigenous peoples of Canada. Yet, despite all these tragedies, she also captures how the Holy Spirit is still welcome and doing great exploits among them.
