Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It has been about thirty years since the game of basket ball was invented. In all that time there have been comparatively few articles written or books published on this sport, which has become so popular in America. Throughout ten years experience in coaching and teaching in normal schools, colleges, and universities, the authors have been continually impressed by the need of sufficient material on this subject.<br><br>There is probably little in this volume that is new to the experienced college player, but the authors have attempted to analyze the game scientifically and to present the material in a logical way.<br><br>Men prominent in basket ball throughout the country have contributed their thought to this work, and it is a source of regret that many more could not have been consulted.
