Backstage & Beyond Volume 2

Jim Sullivan, who spent 26 years writing about popular music for the Boston Globe, focuses on artists who came to prominence in the 1970s and '80s in the second volume of his anthology, Backstage & Beyond.

Drawing on multiple interviews he conducted with each artist, Sullivan – a 2023 inductee into the New England Music Hall of Fame – dives deep into punk, new wave and post-punk to profile such notable artists as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Clash. Patti Smith, New Order, the Cure, Talking Heads, the Police and the Cars.
