Back Story Alaska

Brewer discovers that Alaska is like nowhere else and finds himself unexpectedly in love with bush Alaska - the land, its people and their stories.

Although he's a city boy and a lawyer, he learns to fly a ski plane so that he can follow the dog sled teams along the Iditarod Trail to Nome, experiencing The Last Great Race from the icy skies and treacherous canyons of the Alaska Range. As he makes his way across Alaska, he navigates the stigma of being a newcomer in The Last Frontier in heartwarming and often hilarious ways.

As Camp Brewer is established, Brewer hosts a medley of guests curious about bush Alaska. Each of them arrives with a mission, and all are contemplating survival, just like the bears, eagles, wolves, and foxes they encounter.

These are real people who come for a very different kind of vacation experience, but find themselves facing personal truths, sharing life's lessons, and finding humility in the wild beauty of Alaska.
