Aufbrechen und Weiterdenken

2019 begeht die Gemeindepädagogische Ausbildung in Potsdam und Berlin ihr 40-jähriges Bestehen. Die vorliegende Veröffentlichung würdigt dieses Ereignis mit einer historisch-kritischen Rekonstruktion der Ausbildungsbemühungen im Bund der Evangelischen Kirchen in der DDR und mit der Darstellung von Ergebnissen einer Befragung zur Berufswirklichkeit von Gemeindepädagoginnen und Gemeindepädagogen in drei ostdeutschen Landeskirchen. Subjekt- und Gemeinwesenorientierung, Kommunikation und Arbeit im Team erweisen sich darin als wichtige Kristallisationspunkte ihres Selbstverständnisses. Das Buch leistet einen Beitrag zur gegenwärtigen kirchentheoretischen Diskussion um ein neues Miteinander kirchlicher Berufe und ihre Multiprofessionalität. The current publication commemorates this event with a historical reconstruction of the educational concepts, along with a survey of the professional reality of church community educators in three East German churches. Working with communities, communication and team working, and focusing on the questions of the daily life of people are the core values of their educational strategy. The book makes a contribution towards the ongoing discussions with regards to church theory. This contribution focuses on the cooperation of different professions in the church, and that lay people, and the professional knowledge they have, are indispensable to the church.
