Based on the author's thesis, this study presents a detailed analysis of traditional African weapons, namely types of daggers, swords and knives, most of which were collected in the 20th century. 504 examples are studied, from five geographical regions within Africa, in terms of their morphology, aesthetics and typology. Tables and illustrations present the data in a clear and concise form.
