This study provides an reassessment of the appeasement myths about Hitler by examining a central yet understudied figure. The British Ambassador of the period, Sir Nevile Henderson has been described as "our Nazi Ambassador in Berlin" by historians and popular memory alike. This reassessment draws upon primary documents to challenge orthodox interpretations. While Henderson's analysis of the Nazi regime was seriously flawed, the author argues that history has vastly overstated his influence.
