The quack doctor, not only heals him, but makes him immortal. For the next 4000 years, this man, Scry Tharg has many adventures in many galaxies and distant planets. His main mission is acting as a proxy duellist in wars between various planetary cultures, empires, kingdoms and so on. He fights and dies so that there is never any actual war between the contending civilizations.
