An Overview of Utah Water Rights Law

Jon Schutz immediately fell in love with water law during law school when he read the book Cadillac Desert. Still enthralled by the history, politics, and conflicts associated with water use in the West, he has put together this overview of overview of the subject as it pertains to Utah. This book is not meant to be an exhaustive discussion of the subject. In fact, it attempts to toe the line between being a thorough and accessible guide to water users and managers while not getting lost in the minutia of water law.
