An empty highway to Couva: A Caribbean Folk and Carnival Arts production

An 'Empty highway to Couva' is set in multicultural Trinidad. Two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet pursue love amidst the unfolding cacophony of a racially fragmented society. The tragedy is presented against a background collage of rich Caribbean (particularly) Trinidadian festivals that etches the continuous narrative of the piece from the fabric of the backdrop festivals with such symbiotic reciprocity that renders the relationships amongst art, rituals and life as undeniable.
