Charlotte and Watan negotiate the sale of Randle's film studio to an old acquaintance and investigate the disappearance of a new starlet who may have been killed in a snuff movie & detect the hand of a feared villain. Emily reacquaints with a former lover, Rupprecht, the ex-Crown Prince of Bavaria, much to Charlotte's annoyance. When Emily accepts his proposal of marriage, mother and daughter clash violently and Watan must play the peacemaker between the warring parties. Randle's business and private affairs come under strain, as dark clouds gather over Wall Street, and his marriage to Charlotte appears irreparably damaged. The Holmes clan, and family friends, gather for the wedding but events start to derail the planned nuptials as the bridegroom must contend with a blackmailer. Branwell takes charge when the production of the Southern film drama, Stuck Up & Sassy, stalls as he battles with a missing starlet, a turgid script, and an overacting leading lady. "I said 'emote', like a mother of five who's lost a prize catch, not like a demented woman trying to flag down a passing Zeppelin." The wheels turns for our heroes as their adventures in America come to an unexpected conclusion.
