Mira, a young woman with a tragic background, finds herself in a life changing whirlwind of events when she is attacked and left for dead during a hunting expedition... by her own father.

She is found and rescued by a mysterious stranger, Kieran, who treats her injuries and nurses her back to health. Although there is an undeniable attraction between the two, Kieran realizes he must push Mira away to protect her life.

Unable to accept Kieran's seeming rejection, Mira shuts down and promptly leaves for home where she takes up the role of protector alongside her adopted father, Remus, and together they lead an ever-dwindling number of fighters against the unnatuaral and increasing number of wolf attacks.
