Jade and Dale Blyth moved to Mount Clover for a new start and to be closer to where Dawin Horizon was moored only to discover that they had been labelled as "e;outsiders"e; by the locals who have a preoccupation with the town's hidden myths and sorcery. Mount Clover is a charming village, but it unnerved Jade that both herself and some others, including aromatherapy shop-keeper Coral Flannery, were labelled as "e;outsiders"e; and ostracised. Mount Clover is steeped in myths and legends which had the township caught between a chasm where present and past morphed into an otherworld, where dark shadows hovering in the morning light seemed like ghosts of long ago creeping up buildings and tiptoeing over cobblestone. Warm to the characters who join forces with Jade, to unlock the town secrets, including the punk-rock inspired Coral Flannery, the renowned historian and Jade's best friend Renee Spelling, her reserved neighbour Marigold, and the mysterious, Natalia who blows into Mount Clover like dandelion seeds in the wind. A magical realism story with enough charm for adults to once again believe in magic.
