The five political essays which make up this book constitute a unified whole, in both their critical and their constructive dimensions. Making no easy concessions to current trends in social thought, Vincent aims to address some of the most urgent philosophical questions of the present time: the crisis of meaning, the repetitiousness of technological processes and mechanisms of domination which cast their normalizing shadow on the future and the declining sense of the real in political life.
