A Study of Contemporary Ghana Volume 1: The Economy of Ghana (1966) examines the problems of social and economic change in a rapidly developing society. This volume focuses on the economic aspects, and Volume 2: Some Aspects of Social Structure looks at the social changes. It looks at the main industries – agriculture, cocoa, mining, forestry and construction – as well as the labour market and the wider economy.
