A State of Angst

Consciousness... What exactly is consciousness? It is a query that bewildered scientists since the age of experimentation and rationalization. Although the query is yet to be answered, the ongoing change in the state of our society may give us a glimpse on an insight regarding the query of consciousness. From wars, brothers in arms, calculated crimes, rape, mockery, selfishness and many other of our defining features, are we "ill" or are we "robust"?
