A Murder of Little Consequence

August 1944 -- Paris is in the final days of the German Occupation. Allied armies are closing in on the capital, which the Germans have mined with explosives for total destruction. Barricades have been erected and shooting has broken out throughout the city. After years of shameful collaboration with their occupiers, the police have joined the Resistance. Amid the blood and chaos and in the face of opposition from Nazi overlords and French patriots alike, Inspector Dupin doggedly investigates an especially brutal murder of a single citizen.
