A Message in Blood

Two months after being shot, NYPD Detective Chiara Corelli is back on limited duty for one day before a middle-of-the night phone call summons her and her partner, Detective P.J. Parker, to a politically sensitive murder scene. The victims--a US Senator, the pastor of a megachurch, and a self-made music industry billionaire--appear to have been killed while in flagrante delicto, during a sex orgy.

The Senator's Secret Service detail, the elders of the church, the billionaire's embarrassed wife, and the Chief of Detectives want a cover-up. Enraged by the words written in blood and their hearts broken by what they find hidden in a closet, Corelli and Parker vow instead to find the killer and expose the unsavory lives of these men while seeking justice for the real victims in this case: the children.
