A Man Called Oval

This is the story of a hippie road trip in 1976. Driving a 1963 VW bus, recently married Oval and Ethyl Rubber take a meandering route from Salt Lake City to the mysterious, perhaps mythical, town of Houston Kansas. Their mission: to declare and preach the philosophy of Golly of Nazareth and develop their new religion, Gollyism. Fueled by marijuana, beer, and coffee, their trip is filled with humorous and amazing adventures, peppered with contemporary history discussions and counterculture trivia contests.
