A Lonely Battle Stance

Heinrich Thibaut was a Civil War soldier who was forced beyond the conventional battlefield directly into one just as violent and intense, but much more personal. He suffers disabling wounds, escapes from a deadly confederate prison and then gets a close-up look at slavery. He is immersed in the blood drenched aftermath of Gettysburg, but in the midst of it all, meets the love of his life. Where does he belong, with her, or off to fulfill his duty?
