A Labor of Love

A Labor of Love is structured as conceptual apparatus. A conceptualization is a synthesis of ideas. A self-concept, then, is a synthesis of ideas concerning the self. Entries regard the intellectual, psychological, emotional, physical, and even quantum realms, as pertaining to the formation and development of self in a pluralistic United States. A grasp of abstract ideas facilitates a knowledgeable application of greater concepts. Knowing why one thinks what one thinks is the means of a meaningful self-concept. Familiarity with the abstract makes for a measured plan or intention: a fuller conception of the self. A Labor of Love was originally intended for the daughter of the author. But significant returns are posed for anyone who strives to explore and grasp concepts as a foundational means of both subjective consciousness, but also conscious interaction in an extended, objective reality.
